I was recently retiring the admin PC at HSLA and giving it to an end user for home use. At the same time I had a newer T3500 with a clean install of Windows that would make a great admin PC, however, I did not want to reinstall all the software and transfer the files. I first tried swapping hard drives (which in some instances will work), but both PCs blue screened. My quick fix was to return the hard drives to the original PC, deactivate any cloud licensed software (iTunes & Adobe) and run Sysyprep on both systems. I then swapped the drives and let the initial setups run. Finally, I gave the T3500 the same name and IP as the previous 390 and joined it to the domain. All the original Admin files, software and settings were enact.
