Outlook OST/PST scan reset

By | June 22, 2020

Outlook requires a data file be scanned when it has detected corruption. This can prevent users from accessing the program. To bypass this requirement the following registry key can be altered.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\PST

  1. Clear LastCorruptStore
  2. Set PromptRepair to 0
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\PST]
"LastCorruptStore"="C:\\Users\\%username%\\AppData\\Local\\Microsoft\\Outlook\\alias@domain.ost"
"EnableMarch2018BestBodyFix"=dword:00000000
"PromptRepair"=dword:00000000
